Grace led a series of meditation session’s onsite with our employees around focus and productivity. Her exercises definitely helped strengthen my focus and attention. I received a lot of positive feedback about the sessions. The main value of these types of meditation tools & exercises is they gave our teams an opportunity to de-clutter, de-stress and gain insights about how they spend their time and where their energy is directed during day.
I have been able to go off my sleep medications, my stress has dropped at least by 50%, my ability to handle tense situations has improved. I am more energetic and can get through my work easier because I am more focused. Grace is calm, knowledgeable and practical. I think these classes should be mandatory, it would reduce turnover, lower healthcare bills and lead to happier employees.
I was impressed with Grace’s lively instruction, she makes it simple, playful and easy to go within and get centered. Usually, before meditation I feel resistant and never think I need it as much as I do. After class I’m relaxed, calm and find it easy to focus on what I have to do that I have been putting off.
I was skeptical of this being a good use of staff time, but found it personally valuable to learn tools to decompress in short amounts of time, and every review from our staff, even from those who were very skeptical of the training, has been extremely positive, many asking for more. Grace does a great job speaking to all levels of openness to these practices and offers many different solutions to find something that works for any individual in any amount of time. What she teaches is actionable and practical. This is no chanting circle or the stereotypical meditation that comes to mind.
I was skeptical that I would leave a one hour class with a solid change in my behavior. However, Grace's practice delicately interweaved the awareness of distractions that derail us and how we can take action right away. Most profound was the use of the meditations to bring the distractions to our full awareness and how these distractions are derailing our ability to be present in the moment, to work effectively and efficiently and, ultimately, are impacting our health. My colleagues were very thankful for the opportunity to learn a new tangible practice to manage their stress. I highly recommend incorporating Grace’s mindful meditation practice into your professional life.
We were so pleased with Grace's workshop in terms of the rich content and great attendance -- particularly since this was a very progressive step for us as an organization. She has this beautiful way of helping people grasp it and learn specific tools to help themselves. We will definitely be continuing the journey with an ongoing program. Mindfulness was something I had heard about, personally tried to master, and yet it’s been elusive. Grace made it completely accessible and doable. I have been to Grace's weekly 'Zen' meditation class for a month now. Grace is an ideal meditation guide, her voice is soft, calm and steady. There is nothing abstract about the techniques she uses so the class is very accessible for everyone in the room. As simple as some of the techniques are, they are very effective at helping to recognize and to free up the stress and distractions that we all walk around with. We stand up, we breathe, we move and release the negative thoughts and physical tensions we may be carrying about in the day. I go back to work with a smile on my face and a focused mind for the rest of the week.
The practices she taught me help me de-stress and respond more elegantly to the demands of my work and life. I've gained insight and distance that allows me to better respond rather than react at any given time.
Working in sales I am constantly under a lot of pressure to produce and satisfy upper management’s and clients’ expectations and demands. I live in a world of never ending tasks, requests and things to do. Let’s face it, at times I want to pull my hair out. But now, instead of doing that, I apply my meditation techniques! Grace has taught me how to calm, how to clear my mind, reduce overwhelm, focus my attention and as a result my day to day life is much more enjoyable, peaceful and I am producing more revenue and closing more deals than I was before I practiced meditation! I was surprised to discover just how much stress and tension I carry around that impacts my ability to focus. In just one class I could feel a significant shift, I felt a big release of it, it was easier to do than I thought. I felt energized and empowered and free of the confines of traditional movement. I can see how this regular practice will help me to balance my energy between working a regular 8-5 corporate job and a heavy teaching workload. A must do for the busy life I lead.
I have been a regular at Grace’s meditation class. Grace's style is upbeat and easy to follow, this is not a sleepy meditation. I have learned quick techniques to get centered, focused and really release what’s stressing me out. In 45 minutes I often go from frantic, unfocused and tired to calm, centered and energized. I resisted this practice in the beginning, but Grace made it playful, easy and it just works.
